Welcome to the Realm of Quindia.
The Realm of Quindia has been the basis for my fantasy role playing campaigns since 1980.
During that time, it has grown from a sketchy map to a richly detailed world that has taken on a life of it's own.
Inside this site you will find full color maps, detailed descriptions of the people and places of Quindia, a brief timeline with cultural development maps, unique and often strange characters, stories, artwork, encounter ideas, and complete adventures, as well as my general philosophy on gaming, campaign creation, and updates of my campaign as it continues. Much has been borrowed from other authors and game designers, but hopefully this only serves to bring an atmosphere of familiarity that all good fantasy settings have.
If you actually want to use this world, feel free to alter what is given here or detail regions that I have left as simple sketches to make Quindia what you want it to be.
The realm has benefitted greatly from the input of others in the past and it can only continue to do so.
If this site only serves to inspire you to create your own campaign world then it has been well worth the effort.
Thanks are due to all of the people who have helped bring Quindia to life: Regis and Robert who introduced me to role playing games; my brother Dennis (Strom Coldsteel, Krossa, Shal D'Kar, Bawdle Loffman, Bokken Ironshod, and Lareth) who began those adventures with me and continues to share them and make contributions of his own; Jim (Ghul D'Khat, Callis Stormdancer, and Barnacus the Cloak), Tom (Carmon Diablo, Tavian von Veir, Carlos of Scarshend, and Memnoch, RIP) and Sean (Jorhel) who have created some of the best characters listed herein through their participation in years of gaming; Tony (Marak Hedgecraft) and Scott (Nigel) who have joined our campaign more recently; Doug (Kril Ironhead), Jaime (Scul the Luckless and Prynden), Jeff (Ram the Paladin), Eric (Fred the Fumbler and Sinse Greenbud, both RIP), Kevin (Laakus Maar and several other mages of lesser life spans), Dave (Baaldin the Bloody), and Nikki... all of whom have participated over the years.
Special thanks goes to Sara who has allowed the invasion of her home for "game night" on a weekly basis for the last nine years and continues to tolerate my long hours spent pecking away at a keyboard.
