World War II

My delving into this period is the fault of a friend and regular opponent who knows I am weary of magic phases.
The desert theater was his suggestion and when given the choice of armies, he picked the Desert Rats, leaving me
the Desert Fox... no contest really! I serched around the net for a set of rules and decided on Flames of War.
The set has it's critics but what it does without equal is make it easy for a beginner to jump in! The high
production value of the books and website offer lots of inspiration and is another reason I picked the game.

My force will be based on a Panzergrenadier Company of the 15 Panzer. Initially, I have unimaginitively
purchased the 1500pt. boxed army (another great thing about Flames of War) and will try a few games with that
until I figure out the style of tactics I prefer - then I'll purchase models to fill out 2000pts. and customize
the army to suit!

New June 2006: A returned interest in FOW (the 2nd edition is due out soon) got me painting more 15mm.
I added an HQ, a Heavy MG Platoon, and a Panzer Platoon! More to come...

New July 2006: A few new pics of old and new units!

New August 2006: Having finished my 1500-pt Panzergrenadier army, I decided to expand my collection so I could
field a Panzer force! Some of my existing models have been incorporated, along with more tanks and a few
armored halftracks to get my infantry support into action. I still have to paint up a recovery vehicle and an
anti-aircraft platoon (the models are on the way), but here are the results so far...
