01.02.10 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Republic to Empire has been out for about a month now and seems well recieved. We have sold 700 or so in a little over a month so I think we're off to a good start. Barry and I will now be turing our attention to a second edition of Beneath the Lily Banner and several related projects. Something I am looking forward to the most is Historicon 2010 where Barry and I will be running two participation games - one for each rule set. I have never been to a major con, let alone participated in one, but Barry's done about a zillion so I can leech from his expeience! I started a blog to chronicle the process and possibly slip into other rants from time to time to supplement this site...

10.18.09 The proofs of Republic to Empire are on their way and I should have them in a few days! I actually got around to adding a new article - Basing the Models, The Quindia Studios Method! I get many questions about my technique I thought it was time to buck up and put something together. Hopefully, this is just the first in a series of articles on hobby techniques so if there is something you'd like to see an article on, drop me a note!

08.25.09 I know updates have been scarce this summer, but I am still working on Republic to Empire. There have been some revisions and additions to the text and piles of photos shuffled around, but we really are getting close to finishing (no, really). Click on the title graphic below to view a slide show that includes the Table of Contents and a range of sample pages! The book will be available this fall!

07.04.09 I have been really busy for the last six months working on Republic to Empire with Barry Hilton and we are almost ready to send the manuscript off to the printer! I have tons of new stuff to add to the site like new (better) photos of my existing armies, including new units for my Crmison Fists and Orks. There is also a shiny brand new Space Marine army to bolster the ranks of the Imperials. Finally, there will be new terrain articles on the way, but for the time being everyone needs to be sure to pick up a copy of Battlegames #18 for a step by step guide to building and painting the Spanish abbey to the left. I am very excited, because not only will this my first publication as an author (apart from this site and let's face it, I have total control here), but Henry has seen fit to put one of my photos on the cover which is something I didn't expect! Anyway, I hope to make more regualr updates this fall and hopefully more articles not just for this site, but for publication in the wargames press!

02.14.09 I updated the articles page with my progress this week on my Chaos Space Marine army - I'm just over 2,000 points. I've got two weeks to paint 1,000 points to reach my goal, but I've got some fairly expensive troops lined up including a Chaos Sorcer of Nurgle and a squad of Obliterators! Stay tuned...

02.07.09 I decided to add icons to the articles page to keep up with the progress on my Chaos Space Marine army. I divided the WIP page into weeks and intend on doing an update every weekend. My goal is 3,000 points by the end of the month and I am a little over half way there with 1733 points! When the army is finished I'll add a new page to the gallery!

01.31.09 I've made lots of progress on my Chaos army (check out the WIP link above) I am also seriously at work on Republic to Empire with Barry Hilton and you can expect a sneak preview of that rulebook soon!

01.13.09 Happy New Year! This looks to be a busy one for me! With work continuing on Republic to Empire and load of new models to add to the website, I decided to start another Warhammer 40k army - Chaos Space Marines. I plan to add updates every few days as I finish units, though I won't be updating this page every time. The WIP link above will take you to a "blog" style page that will chronical the growth of this new army and soon there will be a new gallery page to feature it as well. In fact, the entire gallery page is going to get an overhaul at some point this year beacue I want to rearrange a few things, replace some of the photos, and generally just improve the quality of the page in general.
